In one of the review threads on the PrestaShop forum there was a particular gallery feature that caught the eye, and I decided to adapt it slightly for more general use. It’s basically just the Featured Products module adapted to use the javascript gallery rather than the standard tabular layout, and it certainly looks more effective.
Installation is a simple matter of dropping the slidefeatured folder into your modules directory on your server and clicking install… the rest is done for you! Note that if you already use any of the libraries contained in the module, then you may want to remove the header hook to prevent them being included twice.
Important note: This module uses mootools, which has compatibility issues with jQuery used by the PrestaShop standard template, so should only be used in original shop designs!

Hi, thanks for this beautiful module i just want to change little in this slide feature on the upper right corner we can see “Feature Product Menu” i want to remove it can you tell me how ?
hello, i have just installed this module and looks great !!! but there is a problem with others javascripts, all of them have been blocked. the slidefeatured module works correct only. do You know how to unblock the scripts ? my prestashop version 1.3.1.1

Hi, many thanks for these great modules and for taking the time to give your tips. I have installed the featured products slide show, but want to make two changes, change the black background to white and change the width a little.
Could you let me know how this is done, I have looked in the slidefeatured files but cant see to find where to change this?

Hi, you can use mootools and jquery together. I had something working on my prestashop site before and was running both jquery and mootools. You have to use the noConflict function. I’m not 100% sure on how I did it, but if you Google it I’m sure you’ll be able to figure it out. I’m currently running two different versions of jquery and using the noConflict function and the site is working fine.
If you’re having problems with this module breaking your categories, try this modification of the standard blockcategories module…

The only thing I’ve noticed is the spacing for it assumes you have at least 5 categories, but you can probably edit that.
this works but cancels out the catergory section. Can someone create a right block version?
Hello I am new to presta, just want to ask if that module is based on category and products, no directory? i installed it but can’t view the picture only when i click it
It is intended to display the “featured” products – in Presta-speak the “Home Featured” products in your store (these are products that you add to the “home” category). You should not though that it will conflict with the standard Prestashop javascript, and is intended for use on sites which have created their own theme code, and don;t use the standard Prestahop jQuery-based javascript.

Unfortunately this conflicts with the javascript used in the default template – so it’s only really useful if you’re creating a template from scratch.

I’m testing your module it’s a very good job but I can’t use it in all my prestashop. It’s only work in the Homepage.
I use your gallery as a banner and I don’t know how to use it everywhere in my shop.
I try with the admin, by changing the installation, search in your js, etc… but nothing :s
I hope you’ll help me.
